Guns as well as thousands of Xanax tablets have been seized during a Garda investigation in North Cork.
3 people have been arrested and are currently in custody.
Up to 60 Gardai including armed officers were involved in a series of early morning searches as part of a crackdown on groups involved in violent ongoing feuds in Co Cork and Co Limerick.
The Garda helicopter was also deployed.
Homes and wasteland were searched and Gardai found 3 firearms.
The weapons included a handgun and two sawn off shotguns.
A huge haul of Xanax tablets worth thousands of Euro on the black market were also seized .
Today�s operation headed up be Superintendent Gary McPolin is in response to several attacks where homes have been petrol bombed as as well as an incident where a 12 year old girl suffered a fractured skull.
Further arrests are expected
