A woman in her 60s has died following a house fire in Cork.
Emergency services were alerted to the blaze at Palmburry Orchard in Togher at approximately 6:15 a.m. this morning (Friday).
On arrival, flames could be seen coming through the roof.
Fire crews wearing breathing apparatus gained entry to the burning building, where they discovered the woman deceased.
Two adjoining houses were also damaged in the incident in which three units of Cork City Fire Brigade attended.
Forensic experts are examining the scene to determine the exact cause of the fire.
