Cork’s food scene is bursting with flavour, and we’ve been busy eating our way through it while scouting out the very best spots to share with you. Trust us, there’s something here for every taste bud, whether it’s pure indulgence, a light bite, or a wholesome, healthy snack.

Maybe you’re heading out with the family for a weekend treat, stopping in for a bite with the dog after a Sunday stroll, or on the hunt for the freshest catch straight from the sea. Whatever the occasion, Cork’s got it covered. From hidden gems to cult favourites, these are the foodie faces and flavour-filled places you’ll want to get to know.

Blackbird: Freshly spruced up and completely dog-friendly, with outdoor seats just a stone’s throw from a gorgeous coastal stroll. Their creamy seafood chowder is a must, the live music keeps the good vibes flowing, and the “Trawler Boyz” roll in every weekend with the freshest catch. Perfect for warming up after a chilly dip or just kicking back with great food!

Clancy’s: Pouring pints since 1824, this Cork classic now pairs its pub grub with top-notch cocktails. Think fish and chips, a cheeky spritz, and plenty of old-school charm. 

Opening hours: Open 12pm Daily

Naturally nourished: With spots all over Cork, they’re serving up wholesome treats that won’t break your diet or your wallet. Perfect for a quick lunch, a sneaky snack, or whenever you need a fresh pick-me-up. Oh, and the Satay Bowl? Get to know it!

Opening hours: Penrose Dock 7.30am-3.30pm, City Gate 8am -3.00pm

Heres Health: A family-run gem, serving up organic, freshly made nosh daily across multiple spots, from hearty salads to wholesome wraps, it’s the place to go when you want to be good… but not boring.

Opening hours:Mon-Sat 8:30am-5:30pm (Food served until 4.30pm.)
Sun & Bank Holiday Mon 9.30am-5pm (Food served until 4pm.

Raven: Cork’s historic hangout and still the spot for good grub, great pints, and better stories.  The perfect mix of old-school charm and modern mischief with craft beers, killer cocktails, and a menu that’ll have you “just popping in for one” and staying ‘til closing.

Opening hours: Sun–Fri  5-9.30pm, Sat 3-9.30pm 

Black Market: Dog-friendly, on-site parking and nine food vendors under one roof, meaning even the pickiest of eaters will find something to love, from perfect pies to juicy smash burgers and fresh-brewed coffee.

Opening hours: 09:00 – 20:00 Wednesday- Monday
