One person has died and up to 20 people have been injured following a serious collision outside Youghal, Co. Cork.
The collision happened shortly before 8pm when a car and a Bus Éireann coach collided on the N25 Youghal to Dungarvan road, near Piltown.
The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Up to 20 people travelling on the bus are understood to have suffered injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
Dozens of emergency personnel remain at the scene, where traffic diversions are in place.
The road is expected to remain closed for some time and may not reopen until tomorrow.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.
