A man in his 80s has died following a collision n Co, Kerry.
The man died when his bike collied with a car on the R569 road, Church Grounds, Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry shortly after 1.40 today 10-6-25.
Emergency services responded to the call but the pensioner was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Coroner has been informed and a post-mortem examination will take place.
The road remains closed at this time pending technical examination. All drivers going to and from Kenmare need to travel via Killarney and Moll’s Gap on the N71. This road is not suitable for heavy vehicle traffic.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to this incident to come forward.
Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 1pm and 2pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
