One of Corks best known pubs – Blair�s Inn – near Blarney is to close after almost 40 years from when it first opened.
A post on the pubs Facebook page read the following
�Hi everyone. Bit of a big announcement for you .
Sadly Sunday November 3rd will mark the final day of this particular chapter in the history of this mighty little country pub�.
Acknowledging the loyal staff, as well loyal customers and musicians who have played at the award winning venue down throughout the years the family didn�t actually explain why they are calling time.
However I�m sure they have their reasons.
The following is how the Facebook post ended.
“I hope you appreciate that we haven�t taken this decision lightly.
We have simply given it our all.
As for the future of this magical pub; well that�s a conversation for another time.
Thank you all again sincerely from the bottom of our hearts.
