The husband and wife who are known for nurturing champions on and off the track established the club to bridge a gap for local children.

Cork City AC, founded in 2022 by Olympian Rob Heffernan and his wife Marian, has swiftly become a beacon of community spirit and youth development.

The club, created to address a gap in children’s athletics in Cork City, now boasts nearly 200 members and has earned the Cork International Hotel Community Spirit Award.
