Two people have been rescued following a jet ski incident on the River Lee near Blackrock Castle Cork this evening.
The two men were travelling on a jet ski when they fell into the water.
A multi agency operation swung into place once the alarm was raised.
Volunteers with Crosshaven inshore lifeboat, were quickly on the scene, ambulance crews and members of Cork City Fire Brigade also responded.
The two men who are in their 30s were pulled from the water and brought safely ashore.
Paramedics from the National Ambulance Service were on hand to assess the individuals following the incident.
One of the casualties was transported to Cork University Hospital with non liife threatening injuries.
The second man was treated at the scene. The jet ski was later recovered and brought ashore.
A full scale investigation involving Gardai and the Marine Casualty Board is underway.
