Watermelon, Lime, Mint Lemonade. Quick & Simple to Make,

Nutritious & Delicious, It Can Be Made Still or Sparkling, Your New Favourite Summer Drink!

Watermelon is great for this weather because it’s 92% water content makes it excellent for staying hydrated. It also contains citrulline, which is said to reduce muscle soreness after workouts.vitamin C aids in collagen production for healthy skin and hair, vitamin A and a small amount of fiber and low in calories.  So what’s not to love about it!  

Try this delicious watermelon lemonade that is quick and easy to make.The homemade watermelon lemonade is blended with fresh lemon and lime juice, sweetened naturally with honey or sugar, and finished with cooling fresh mint . And whether you enjoy it still or sparkling, this drink is as nutritious as it is delicious.  

Ingredients:

  • Half an average watermelon with the seeds removed.
  • Two lemons freshly squeezed.
  • Two limes freshly squeezed.
  • Six to Eight Tablespoons of honey or sugar . 
  • 1.5 litres of cold water
  • I have a small bunch of mint leaves.

How To Make:

  • Remove Seeds and cut the watermelon into chunks.
  • Blend the watermelon chunks, lime and lemon juice and honey until smooth.
  • If you want a smoother finish you can put it through a sieve.
  • Add the water and the mild leaves, gently crushed for more flavour. 
  • Chill for an hour and serve over ice with lime and mint garnish.
  • It’s that simple! 
  • Sparkling version:

Sparkling Version:

For a fizzy twist, 

  • Use half a litre of still water.
  • One litre of chilled sparkling water.
  • Add the sparkling water just before serving to save the bubbles
