Two men have been arrested after a teenager had a knife pointed at him in Cork on Saturday night 25-10-25
The teen was waiting for a bus when two others approached him in the Brodale near Douglas around 11 pm.
One of the culprits pulled a knife but left moments later.
The young man was not injured but left extremely shaken.
Gardaí said they received a report of a man in possession of an offensive weapon in the Broadale area of Douglas and carried out a search of the area.
Two men in their 20s, were subsequently arrested under public order legislation and a knife was seized.
Both were detained at a Garda station in Cork city under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
One of the men has since been charged and is due to appear before Cork District Court at a later date.
The other man was released to be dealt with under the Adult Caution scheme.
