A woman who fell while out walking in Ardmore Co Waterford had to wait almost two hours for an Ambulance yesterday afternoon.
The woman who was visiting the seaside village fell in an area close to the Round Tower monument around midday.
Locals who assisted said it was shocking to see the casualty on the ground in pain and waiting for the Ambulance which arrived at the scene almost two hours after the initial call was made.
Its understood the patient who was transferred to hospital suffered non life threatening injuries.
A spokesperson for the HSE said it does not comment on individual cases.
