The HSE has issued a warning after becoming aware of an advertisement featuring two individuals claiming to be members of the National Ambulance Service.

A video promoting a weight-loss product, currently circulating on social media, shows a man and a woman wearing uniforms, with a fleet of ambulances visible in the background.

However, closer examination reveals that the uniforms, ambulances, and other imagery used in the video do not belong to the National Ambulance Service.

The content appears to be misleading and may cause members of the public to believe the advertisement is legitimate.

In a statement to All About Cork, the HSE confirmed that the two individuals featured in the video are not members of the National Ambulance Service.

“Public safety is our top priority,” the HSE said. “We report posts that we believe may be harmful to people’s health or that contain deliberate misinformation relating to a range of health topics.

“It is crucial to question the source of information. Take time to verify it against reliable sources, as this will help you decide whether the advice can be trusted.”

Despite these concerns, the advertising feature involving the bogus paramedics remains active on social media platforms.
