The turkey has been eaten, you’re fed up looking at movies and TV repeats, and those walks you have to take to get out of the house aren’t great fun in the cold. January is a great month to escape from the post-festive slump, so we’ve done a bit of digging to find some amazing last-minute trips departing from Cork airport to warmer locations to make your new year go off with a bang.
Algarve

Dubai
With an average of eight hours of sunshine daily in January, a trip to Dubai will start 2026 off nicely.
