Three people have been rescued in a multi agency operation in Youghal Co Cork.
The alarm was raised after two boys and an older male on a paddle board got into difficulty off the front strand in Youghal Co Cork just after 5 pm this evening.
Emergency services including Youghal Lifeboat responded to the shout.
Crew members onboard the lifeboat plucked the three from the sea and brought them ashore where they were treated by paramedics.
On lookers said those involved in the rescue operation must be commended for the swift response.
