A woman is in a serios condition after being mauled by a dog in Cork this evening 18-7-25
The woman thought to be in her 30s was savagely attacked by the dog in a housing estate in Ballyvolane earlier this evening.
Emergency services were alerted when screams for hep were heard by a number of people in the area
Gardai including armed officers responded to the incident .
Paramedics who attended the scene discovered the critically injured woman had suffered serious injuries to her head.
The woman was transferred to Cork University Hospital .
It’s believed a woman who attempted to separate the dog from the woman was also injured but did not need to be hospitalised
