A house fire in Cork in which a 9 year old child was rescued from is being treated as suspicious.
Gardai are investigating if a petrol bomb was used in an attack on the house on Clarkes Road Ballyphehane at around 6.30 this morning Monday 23-2-26
It’s understood a neighbour tried to rescue the occupants before she was overcome with smoke.
Fire fighters from Anglesea Street who arrived within minutes of receiving the call had to wear breathing apparatus when gaining entry to the smoke filled house.
A child and a man as well as the neighbour were rescued and brought to safety.
A three were transported to hospital suffering from smoke Inhalation.
The house remains sealed off as Garda forensic experts carry out an examination in a bid to gather evidence in this suspected arson attack.
