Soma Coffee Company – Tuckey Street, Cork City
SOMA Coffee Company welcomes dogs inside their cosy cafe, and pups must be kept safely on a lead, and not on furniture. Dog bowls are provided for your pooch to stay hydrated, while you tuck into their famous modern speciality coffee. A love of coffee and a desire to bring high grade specialty coffee to Ireland kicked off the business, who now have a number of locations across the county. Sonflour is a modern Italian restaurant in Cork City offering an eco-friendly vision of authentic Italian catering. Dogs are absolutely welcome, so you can enjoy some fresh and comforting flavours with your four-legged-friend in tow. Inspired by Italy, grown in Ireland, the menu is an incredible feast of sustainable eats. From sweet garlic bread and Roman artisanal pizza to home made pasta and sumptuous affogato, its a mouthwatering menu.

Impala – Liberty Street, Cork
Opening in 2019 Impala has gained an amazing reputation for its expansive range of drinks, including craft beers and cocktails. Dogs of all sizes are welcome both indoors and outdoors, with water bowls available for parched pooches. Enjoy some beverages with pals in the large outdoor seating area, or nestle inside away from the elements with the perfect pint.

O’Sho – Barrack Street, Ballintemple, Cork
A cosy pub, dogs are welcome indoors and outside. Ideal for some snug pints, food can be ordered into the pub from Miyazaki’s across the road – an expert in delicious Japanese eats, with fresh onigiri rice balls, hot noodle soups and savour donburi options. O’Sho are also pros when it comes to herbal teas and specialty cocktails, so there is something for everyone.

For a luxurious stay, the five-star Castlemartyr Resort Hotel is a Gold Medal Award Winner for ‘Best Pet-friendly Hotel’ in Ireland. The maximum size of pet allowed is that of the size of a standard Labrador, and two pets are allowed per room. There are a number of options when it comes to luxury pet-friendly rooms within the hotel, including the ground floor Garden Deluxe Rooms with private gardens, and the elegant and peaceful Orchard Residences located within the original walled gardens on the resort grounds. They provide a Pet Concierge service with details on local dog walkers, sitters, groomers and veterinarians, as well as maps and directions to the best woodlands and dog walking trails in the area.

This hotel loves hosting dogs and their owners, and does all they can to make your fur baby feel very welcome. They provide a cosy bed and blanket in your room, as well as a bowl and towels. The Moxy, Camden Place, Cork
The Moxy in Cork is one of the top destinations for animal lovers who don’t want to leave their pet behind when they go for a stay. The hotel welcomes one dog per room, with a maximum weight of 35 kilograms per pet. They have a special “Bark-cation” package which allows you to explore Cork from your pup’s perspective. From August 2025 to January 2026, your dog will be greeted with a dog treat and a cosy dog bed set up in your room, and information on the ample dog friendly bars and cafes in Cork City.
