A prisoner remains at large having escaped from custody in Cork.
The man is understood to have been in custody on an immigration matter when he made his get getaway.
Gardai say they were alerted by the Irish Prison Service to an incident where a prisoner escaped from lawful custody in Cork yesterday afternoon.
Officer continue to liaise with the Prison Service and investigations continue.
The man who made off is not considered to be a risk to the public.
