First of all it wasn’t me but someone in Cork is heading into the weekend €5.6 million richer today – and they may not even know it yet!
The winning Lotto ticket, worth a staggering €5,664,896, was bought at Eason’s in Mahon Point Shopping Centre.
The lucky player bought a Quick Pick ticket on Tuesday – and somehow managed to land the €5.6 million jackpot!
So, if you bought a Lotto ticket in Mahon Point on Tuesday, you might want to check your pockets, your wallet and the car… and maybe have a look down the back of the sofa too!
The winning numbers for Wednesday’s Lotto draw (7th October) were: 3, 17, 26, 29, 37, 42 and the Bonus was 38.
Store Manager Eimear O’Donovan was delighted to get the call from the National Lottery this week: “To hear that one of our customers is the winner of a Lotto jackpot worth over €5.6 million is just incredible. The thought that the winning ticket could be sitting in someone’s pocket, handbag or at home right now is hugely exciting. We’ll be telling everyone who comes through the doors to get checking those tickets because one of our customers could be in for a celebratory weekend that they will never forget! After being named Eason Store of the Year this year, this really is the icing on the cake and another brilliant reason for our team to celebrate.”
