The team at Velo Coffee Roasters recently welcomed the Lord Mayor of Cork, Fergal Dennehy, to their roastery, marking another milestone in the company’s ongoing growth and focus on sustainability.
A keen coffee enthusiast, the Lord Mayor was especially eager to visit the Mayfield facility and gain insight into how one of Ireland’s fastest-growing specialty coffee businesses operates.
During the visit, he met with coffee roasters Adam Coughlan and Alma Suvorova, Head of E-commerce Aoife O’Sullivan, General Manager Suzanne Casey, and the wider Velo team.
He toured the roasting facility and learned more about the company’s approach to sourcing, roasting, and sustainability.
Founded in Cork, Velo Coffee Roasters has experienced rapid expansion in recent years, growing its team and delivering its multi-award-winning coffees to customers across Ireland and international markets.
The company continues to strengthen its retail presence, expand its out-of-home channel, and invest in innovation across its range.
Speaking during the visit, founder and owner Rob Horgan spoke of the company’s strong commitment to Cork and the local community that has supported its journey.
