Did you know Bus Éireann runs 72 daily departures from stops across the city and county to Cork Airport? It’s the simple and convenient way to start your journey, whether you’re travelling for business, taking a well-earned break, or simply visiting the arrivals hall to welcome home a loved one.
Passengers in Cork have two routes to choose from:
Route 225 connects Haulbowline, Ringaskiddy, Carrigaline and Ballygarvan with Cork Airport before continuing on to Cork city and Kent Station.
Route 226 connects Kinsale, Belgooly and Riverstick directly with Cork Airport, before also travelling onwards to the city and Kent Station.
Bus Éireann also offers great value fares to passengers travelling within the Red Zone of Cork City. Passengers can pick up a TFI Leap card Adult, Child, Young Adult or Student Leap Card with fares starting at just €1.70 for Adults, €0.85 for students/young adults and €0.55 for children.
The recent introduction in the city of the TFI 90-minute fare means eligible journeys on Cork city bus services can include transfers within 90 minutes of the first tap for one Leap fare.
When you get to the airport, your Bus Éireann driver will drop you at a stop right outside the door, so passengers don’t have far to bring their luggage before handing it over to airline staff and relaxing into airport hospitality. Equally when you land back in Cork, having that stop close by means it’s just a short hop to your bus and driver that are ready to take you on the last leg of your journey.
When you combine the convenience of Bus Éireann’s service with the warm welcome at Cork airport, it all adds up to a smooth start to your journey and an easy way home when it’s time to return to your daily routine. Why not get on board with Bus Éireann the next time you’re ready to take off?
