(Yes picnic in autumn) The official launch on Sunday, at 11am promises a morning of family fun, highlighted by a Treasure Hunt that celebrates community, nature, and collaboration. It’s a fantastic opportunity to explore the woodland, enjoy outdoor activity, and discover hidden surprises along the trails all while reaping the benefits of exercise in the fresh autumn air.

Ballymartle Woodland, Riverstick
Ballymartle Woodland provides a network of walking trails ideal for a leisurely stroll or a playful morning outdoors. Maintained through a partnership involving locals, Coillte, and other community sponsors, the woodland is a treasured public amenity right on our doorstep. The new paths, seating, and signage make it even easier to enjoy a safe and accessible walk for people of all ages.
Glenbower Wood, Killeagh
Nestled along the Dissour River in East Cork, Glenbower Wood is an ancient native woodland offering a 6.4 km loop trail through lush greenery. It’s perfect for peaceful walks, birdwatching, or a family outing. Glenbower is home to towering Sequoia trees, diverse bird species, and rich history, having been in the ownership of the DeCapell family from 1182 until 1933.
Currabinny Woods, Carrigaline
