In 1990, Tomás Mulcahy captained the Cork hurlers to All-Ireland glory. The memories of that historic day remain vivid, but the Glen Rovers man insists that the focus is now firmly on the present and on the new kids on the block who face Tipperary this Sunday.
Mulcahy, reflecting on the journey to championship success, remarked that All-Ireland medals are never easily won. However, he believes this current Cork squad has that crucial edge the bit extra to push them over the line when it matters most in the 70th minute.
